The bottom line when it comes to your office is this - it should make everyone, especially you, feel comfortable. How can we achieve this? Bring in things that motivate you, inspire you, energizes you and/or allows you to savor the Zen.
And that’s just what we did for this client. He wanted a space that reflected his time with his family. It began with an original painting of one of his favorite beaches, something his family brought back from their travels. The large-scale beach scene was precisely what he needed to be his focal point.
First, we focused on the sitting area. We had the art stretched onto canvas and added a clean, custom frame. We hung it over the sofa, front and center, in his immediate view.
Next, we stopped by our favorite biophilia expert to help us design a piece that not only focused on bringing the outdoors in – his design took it one step further and brought the tropical experience from the canvas directly into the office.
We flanked the art with two oversized table lamps that not only provided additional layers of light, the scale and form blended the art and MCM style furniture beautifully. We finished the space with floating shelves and a slim console with plenty of space to display his achievements and his family’s memories.

Decorate your space - It might be an obvious one, but fill your desk with photos of friends and family. It makes going to the office more like being at home which does wonders for your comfort levels and thus your productivity. Lighten the mood with a funky desk lamp or a whimsical pen jar.
