Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove's Inaugural Christmas Tree Decorating Showdown: Our Journey of Elegance and Tradition
I’m thrilled to share my experience in the inaugural Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove Tree Decorating Competition at the Dallas Showroom. Join me as I dive into the creative process behind my elegant Christmas tree design, offering inspiration for your holiday decor.
Embracing a Winter Wonderland: Our Christmas Tree Theme
For this year's competition, I embraced the showroom’s 'Winter Wonderland' theme with a unique twist. My design incorporates a classic nativity vibe, reimagined in an elegant and sophisticated manner. This post will guide you through my thought process and artistic choices.
A Serene Color Palette for Christmas Elegance & Incorporating Music-Themed Ornaments
Our 7.5-foot flocked Christmas tree, the centerpiece of my design, features a calming palette of white, light blues, beiges, and antique gold. This selection creates a serene, snow-laden landscape, perfect for a tranquil yet elegant Christmas setting.
This color scheme also allows me to incorporate some of my existing music-themed ornaments and emphasizes a focus on the classic Christmas carol, "O' Holy Night." This decision adds a layer of depth to my Winter Wonderland theme, blending the peaceful serenity of the nativity scene with the rich tradition of Christmas music. Not to mention, I don’t need to purchase a ton of new ornaments for the tree.
I carefully pulled out ornaments that complemented this color palette, ensuring a harmonious blend of elegance and musical heritage. The ornaments are a gentle nod to the sacred night of Jesus' birth, aligning perfectly with my nativity theme.
By combining these elements, my Christmas tree transcends being merely a decoration; it becomes a storytelling medium that celebrates the harmony of music, art, and the timeless story of Christmas.
For the pièce de résistance, I selected a beautiful, rotating, gold, metal, tree stand that gently rotates the tree 360 degrees.
This movement allows viewers to fully appreciate every angle and detail of the tree. This dynamic element not only enhances the visual experience but also symbolizes the continuous joy and spirit of the holiday season, making my Christmas tree a truly enchanting spectacle.
Unique Christmas Ornaments: Hand-Painted Oyster Shells and Nativity Scenes
What makes this tree stand out are the hand-painted oyster shells and wooden nativity scene ornaments. I sourced these ornaments from Etsy and Amazon, hand-picking each piece to align with my O’ Holy Night theme.
